Women often have a wide repertoire of flirtatious moods and swings that may manifest them differently. Normally, flirting women may give long and seductive stares or smiles a lot or may laugh in an exaggerated manner. Flirting women can also indulge in excessive conversations which may indicate her flirtatiousness which may be evident from the choice of her words, during these conversations.
Men Are Forthright, Women Not So Obvious
While a man may be more forthright in his flirtations, the woman is generally a lot more subtle and, so one may not always detect the physical clues, which are less than obvious, mostly. Also, men are not accustomed to receiving a lot of attention from women; so a flirting woman would be somewhat harder to detect. He would need to look for tiny clues to see whether she is the flirting woman or not.
Flirting women will generally not make the first move and if such were the case, then it would be indicative of her being more than just interested. This may not lead to a woman coming right out and begging for attention as a majority of women would not place them in such a position. The clearest signal a flirting woman would give is that of an extended look or by staring. Americans may perceive staring as being offensive, though in many countries this may not be the case. However, men do find extended looks appealing and a woman that gives more than just a glance may indicate that she has made up her mind that he is worth a little extra more attention.
Flirting women may also try and get physically close to the man she is flirting with and let him know she is flirting with him and this may occur during walks, while sitting or having a standing conversation. However, her body language may not always be sexually suggestive enough to draw conclusions about her intentions, though some signs of flirtatious behavior are tilting the head while talking, holding her hands behind her back when talking and also, touching the man’s clothes or person, while talking.
Mostly, flirting women are only engaging in harmless behavior and, for a more than friendly relationship; she would let the man know about it more explicitly. Men can often be overcome by a woman’s friendly behavior and perceive it to be flirting when it is not and they need to understand that all interaction need not necessarily mean flirtation and more.
Flirting is fun, at least for most people. It is a safe way to show someone you are interested without being overt or having to leave your comfort zone. Almost everyone does it at some point in their lives, whether they are pursuing an interest or merely having fun. Flirting is a form of flattery and often brings out the best in people, as flattery increases one’s self esteem.
There appears to be a new trend becoming increasingly popular where younger men are pursuing and flirting with older women. The first criticisms suggested that elder women just wanted younger men as their “boy toys” but further research suggested the younger men would flirt with older women, as they appreciated their maturity level.
How Younger and Older Women Differ
Many have said that younger women are far easier to please than older women, and that may also be the case when it comes to flirting with older women. Males have reported that getting a younger woman’s attention is practically effortless, but not so much the case when they are flirting with older women. Why is this? There is clearly no single answer that is scientifically based, but several assumptions and guesses have been made. First of all, a younger man may lose confidence when flirting with older women.
Often times, older women exude such a high level of confidence that it takes a brave young man to attempt to soften her up. Secondly, older women tend to know exactly what they want, which can lead to the illusion of “pickiness”. This is not necessarily true, it just means that they know what they want and hence a person has to try a little harder to figure it out.
Another thing that sometimes draws men away from flirting with older women is that they often don’t put themselves on the market so to speak. Older women (especially those who have gone through a divorce or are widowed) tend to be very independent, and hence don’t give off the “flirt with me” vibe. Henceforth, if a man is not on the prowl for a woman to flirt with, he may not go for the older women unless there is some sort of introduction to begin with. Another thing that sometimes men worry about when it comes to flirting with older women as opposed to younger women is that older women who are looking for companionship also want a relationship.
Young women love the dating game and the constant change of the dating scene, whereas many older women are through with the games and want a steady relationship. Anyone flirting with older women should realize the possibility that they may be looking at a more steady relationship, and if they are opposed to that they should consider looking elsewhere.
Perhaps he’s the friend of a friend. Or, perhaps you see him every morning on your way to get coffee. Whatever the case, there’s a new object of your affection, and you want him to know about it. While many magazines pride themselves on providing flirting tips for men, what about flirting tips for women? Luckily, there are plenty flirting tips for women to try.
Flirting Tip for Women #1: Find Out What he Likes
This might be one of the more obvious tips, but it is also one of the most important tips when it comes to successful flirting tips for women. If he is a friend of a friend, then this is something that can be easily achieved by asking your friend about him. However, if he is someone you just see on a regular basis while getting your coffee, this can be a little bit more difficult.
In such a situation, take some time out to observe what he is doing. Does he always read the paper? Does he always have an iPod? What kind of coffee does he drink? Take note of little things like that, and remember the things that you could easily start a conversation about.
Flirting Tip for Women #2: Don’t Pretend
So, you’ve found out that he likes to jog, but you really could care less about exercise. Nevertheless, you go out and buy a new track suit and just “happen” to jog past him now everyday on your way to get coffee. This is a big no-no, because you are changing yourself to have something in common with him. If you do being dating, pretending to like the same things as he does will tire quickly, because the relationship will not have been based on the truth.
Flirting Tip for Women #3: Body Language
Some guys, no matter how much you try, will not respond to verbal flirting, at which time body language comes into play, and men always respond to that. When you’re talking to him, touch his shoulder, this shows that you are comfortable enough to be in his personal space, which can also indicate an attraction.
Is he Worth it?
If you try a variety of flirting techniques, and you still don’t get much of a response from the guy, then maybe it is time to move on. Sometimes, the chemistry just isn’t there if only one person feels it. Don’t be discouraged, and use your flirting tips for women on a new guy. If he responds, then he was definitely worth the effort.
